ABout ME

Alex Acevedo is a Mexican-American illustrator born in San Diego and has lived transborder in San Diego and Tijuana, Baja Califonia. Her work focuses on nostalgia-based “grungy” artwork, inspired by the alternative music she listens to and its related subcultures. She’s interested in continuing to explore working in color and creating work based on her perception of the world. When she is not drawing, she is getting crushed at a concert, drinking an overpriced iced coffee, or watching a 3-hour-long YouTube video on the same video game she’s been playing since 2014.

As of 2025, Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from California State University Long Beach. She was born in San Diego and has lived transborder in San Diego and Tijuana, Baja Califonia
